Life Aint As Easy as Ridgewood Dr.

  • Mood:

Hi Everyone:

A direct quote from an old friend Bud.  Bud was a Vietnam Vet and a friend way back when I was growing up.  Naturally Ridgewood Dr. was the street I grew up on.  But one thing for sure Bud was right maybe he was genius in disguise.  The Ridgewood Dr. days are long over but the good times continue to roll.  Yep Im going that direction again lets all sit back and smell the coffee and realize how lucky most of us are particulary me.  Why cause theres people dying over there and people dying and suffering over here yet many of us are to wrapped up in seemingly small problems which we think are huge.  Most of us pretty lucky!!! Then there are the others who for some reason are stricken with disease or other problems which are realllllllllllllllllllllllll.  Thats right real...  I am not particulary happy right now with my progress in life as far as the C word goes.  But you know what when I start the whining I just kick my self in the ass.  I can say ass here cause if you check my Guest Book Disclaimer it says I may offend on occassion.  But you know what Im here I get to hug my wife and my boy and what more could I really ask for cause it good get much worse!!!! and right now its really not that bad.   Now for the other part I had the down the throat cam  (Endoscopy) two weeks ago an the Doc says Good To Go.  I had the up the where the sun dont shine cam last week and the Doc says ur all GOOD.  However the phone then rings and the Doc wants me to call him back.  Here it comes medicine is not an exact science.  We need to do another Small Bowel series to determine whether its scar tissue thats causing your problem.  ITS NOT A TUMOR right Governor Arnold cause it just cant be right all the other Docs said your okay Right?   So Im sitting in a holding pattern the plan is to do a Small Bowel Series thats swallow the very berry not so berry tasting poop and take lots of photos as it works it way down.  If it parks itself in my Jejunum (check spelling) and the area looks larger then it did last time it may be problematic!  The possiblity does exist since this is where they removed the tumor from there could be some more ugly stuff there.!  Anyhow my sarcasm is ruining all this.  So if its a tumor Ill just go see Dr. Mangan again give up the eyebrows and KICK CANCERS ASSSSSSSSS once again just like my friends taught me.  Ill miss the eyebrows again but they come back.  So its all good did it once and Ill do it again.  Thats where my head is right now that and in West Point Leadership and Command School which I just started.  Hopefully this will end the nonsense with the nausea or just put aside any fears that there is any cancer left over.  Again medicine is not an exact science!  But I refer to it as investigation and preperation not paronoia.  I think the Doc is way on track here with being sure.  I have had quite a few in the past that did not see things this way and thats what I need.  Im slightly uptight about it not going to lie but whatever comes Ill deal with it and Im still all in all really really really lucky!!!

I want to thank the McMeekin, Miller, and Mooney families for allowing me the honor to attend Survivor Weekend in Wildwood NJ in honor of Officer Thomas McMeekin there family member who was tragically killed in the line of duty.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the Scott and Buccafurni Families in the loss of their loved ones.
